Kiddie climber

Hey all,

So, while I have yet to really choose a specific sport to excel in, and later make a ton of money and fall into the typical trappings of a celebrity athlete, climbing for the time being is occupying my time. I don’t get to meet a ton of girls while on the ropes, nor do I really talk to all that many people. I’m in my head most the time, in a groove, feeling the outdoor spirit and taking it all in. Here are some recent pics …

Snow Day!

Believe it not, the first time I touched snow was just 1 month ago. Being south of the equator means our coldest months down here are June and July.

Now when I say touched snow, it snowed at the house, but not much. Maybe a couple inches. But every bit counts, I touched it, rolled it up into a ball, victimized the neighbor kids, a grand time for all.

But I kept the pressure on Pops to take me to the snow, the real stuff, sledding, skiing, the whole shabang. He promised and I charged him accordingly.

We headed up with some classmates to Farellones. Roughly 1.5 hours from the house, it got dumped on the week prior and was awash with the white stuff.

The sun eventually made its way out and we were set.

Only down-side was we chose the Sunday that the World Cup Final was played. But Farellones came prepared with a giant big screen on the slopes for us to take in what was probably the best final game ever played. Enjoy some pics of the day …

The day was spectacular and I definitely caught the snow bug. More to come for sure and needless to say by the end of the day your humble scribe was MUERTO!

Winter break ends today, back to school tomorrow. Have a great summer/winter wherever this finds you!

Get your sopaipilla on

If you can’t pronounce it, you’re not in the minority. One of the harder words my Dad had to get his head around down here, but ohh so necessary. The sopaipilla is winter warmth, a breath of fresh flat bread, smartly fashioned, even flakey to the touch, and down-right addictive to the point of thoughts of how to punish yourself for having eaten so many when you know you’re already pushing at least 8 pounds overweight and those Banana Republic chinos are riding tight and tossing them would be a psychological blow to the premise that you’re still at your undergraduate college weight and nothing will convince you otherwise.

Sounds healthy right? Healthy they’re not, but made of pumpkin they are!

IMG-20180701-WA0000

Once you’ve got the pumpkin, the rest sort of puts itself in motion. Here’s the process, take note …

And then the pre-plate bowl container deal with napkins to soak up the sweat …

Ready for the table …

And that salsa deal is called pebre. Highly recommended as a lighter alternative to guacamole dip which complements nicely on everything from mashed potatoes to rice to pasta and even risotto. It’s a malleable condiment and deserves to be recognized as such.

Pops taking it in …

And your’s truly …

An all around solid outing (we never left the house to be honest), and a great beginning to the week. On a side-note, Pops commented that King James is coming to Los Angeles. My head has been in the World Cup, but this is big news to say the least. Best of luck to the Lake-Show, another title will arrive but not sure James will be a part of it. If Lonzo manages to lock his father in a farmhouse on the outskirts of Nebraska for the length of the season, then we might have a shot. Stay tuned!

4 Years!

Man, not much more to say than, man! Apologies, les pido disculpas, don’t know another language so we’ll leave it at that.

But lot’s of comings and goings over these past 4 years, so where to begin. First off, I’m 7 now. Take that! I’m reading, writing, drawing and doing other cool things. So if anyone asks, “what’s Michael up to,” you’ve got some clear answers that make me look good and you sound informed. It’s a win-win for us both.

Now that I’m getting back to blogging I will have cool things to share over the rest of the year. I did not have anything to do with this amazing preparation, but thought I would share it anyways.

This bad boy is currently in the oven – http://www.tipicochileno.cl/malaya/. Here are some pics …

I am still rather skinny so the nutrients and other additives will do my spindly body good. ¡Hasta la proxima chiquillos!

Trip to L.A.

Hi peeps,

Better late than never, right! To those I didn’t get a chance to see, the uprights and I traveled to the mother-land (technically not my mother-land but my Mom and Dad’s respective mother-lands, so I have adopted it as my second mother-land) to visit another generation of uprights, AKA, Opa and Mama Rita, and of course Auntie Christiney.

Right off the bat, I gotta say, the U.S. was crazy scary. I mean, I had heard of this whole Halloween craze that gringos go loco for, but I woke up to this melted witch on a daily basis which kept me company next to my morning routine of cherrios and yogurt –

This thing was fully formed when I went to bed, and then this every morning! Well, you can thank Mama Rita for this timely purchase …

Scary Mama Rita

Back to the morning routine, post-yogurt Opa and I got down to business …

exercise

My six-pack is almost fully formed as of now, thanks Opa. After my work-out I would then go and see what Dad was up to. More often than not I found him like this …

margarita

Margarita night seemed to pop up quite frequently. But I will say, my trip to the zoo was a real highlight …

zoo monkey2 monkey jifaffe

Always nice to bond with other species, right, that’s what I always say. Our evenings were typically spent on the patio out back, lounging, eating, drinking, and chasing Cali the dog …

family

All in all it was a fabulous trip! In this last video I am perplexed by these creatures I found out my window on my first day. Gringos call them squirrels, I certainly cannot pronounce that word but I was adamant in catching one during the trip. That never happened, but I will not forget you squirrel, you haunt my dreams and keep my blood boiling … in a good way …

Lions, and zebras and the Hulk, ohh my!

A chilly overcast day only equals one thing … the zoo!

The Santiago zoo is at best Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch after Tito took over the deed, and at worst, an Afghani prison camp. With that said, it is close to home, located on a historic hill, and at my age an animal live in person is much preferred to my Ipad.

Last but not least, the Hulk made an appearance a short while ago, my nose was more interesting however, especially the treasures that lie within. Hasta la proxima!

Been awhile!!!

Hey all, many apologies, between Christmas, New Years, March Madness, and let’s see, what other excuses can I pile on to this … well none really, sorry for the delay, but here is some info on my most recent comings and goings.

So, I will be turning 3 at the end of May. My legs work really well now, my hair is growing like a Khardasian bank account, I speak predominantly English but getting my Spanish back as I just went back to school last week. I have a love interest by the name of Chloe, and spend my free time hopping, falling down, and watching a cartoon by the name of Peppa Pig. Don’t google it, not worth the trouble, but all those parents out there with little shavers my age know what the deal is.

Here are some recent park pics and what not. Be well, we will all be back in the States in October, keep ya posted!

Feliz Navidad

Hola amigos y familia! I think at the ripe old age of 2.5 I will, from what everyone has told me, begin to remember milestone days like my birthday, easter, x-mas, thanksgiving, and the day O.J. fled the LAPD (my Dad likes to replay that on youtube). This X-mas was special, mainly cause Santa brought me some wheels, finally something to impress the mamacitas at the park with!

I also have this cool video to share:

Lastly, the parents found a couple by the beach who wanted to do a house swap so we headed west last weekend. My first time at the ocean since I was the ripe old age of 240 days!!
